About Rotor Controls
Rotor Controls was started with a simple idea: MIDI controllers have become unnecessarily complicated.
As a music producer, I found myself surrounded by controllers covered in pads, faders, screens, and features I rarely used. What I really wanted was a small, well-built controller with a few high-quality controls that I could map exactly how I wanted.
When I couldn't find the product I was looking for, I decided to build it myself.
I'm a mechanical engineer by day and a techno producer by night. Rotor Controls combines those two passions: engineering and music. Every product begins as an idea, then moves through CAD design, PCB development, firmware programming, prototyping, testing, and assembly before it reaches a customer.
The Rotor K2 is the first product from Rotor Controls. Designed and assembled in Chicago, Illinois, it focuses on what matters most: tactile control, reliability, and simplicity. No unnecessary features. No clutter. Just a direct connection between the producer and their music.
Rotor Controls is a small operation, which means every design decision, firmware update, and customer interaction comes directly from the person creating the products. Customer feedback plays a major role in shaping new features and future products.
My goal is simple: build tools that inspire creativity and feel great to use.
